I encourage people to actually enjoy the game, play on different levels, play on different difficulties, etc. But at this low of a round and using good weapons means you shouldn't have problems.Įdit: Just to be clear, this is me trying to offer an optimal xp:time ratio. The only catch is that you MIGHT hit modified rounds. 3 more rounds that will be just as easy as the first ones and you get another payday from the level 10 boss battle. In the time it takes you to quit out, pick a new level, wait for it to load, pick a perk, and load into the game you could be through round 6 and onto 7. "But B0BA, why go to 10 instead of just going to 5 and resetting?"īecause you already have top tier weapons for your perk, the monster numbers aren't high yet, and the boss shield level is still relatively low. This is why powering through wave after wave isn't advised if you're going for efficiency. Love me some scrake rounds!)īecause a level 5 boss and a level 25 boss give the exact same amount of xp, there is not one single benefit to going further and further (other than bragging rights). Especially, poundemic (though you get some decent XP from poundemic and scrake rounds if you're proficient at killing them. These all add to the time it takes to get to the next boss AND it can increase the chances you'll legit die. I haven't even mentioned the fact that after 5 you'll start dealing with modifiers like boom, up up and decay, tiny terror, etc. See this comment I created earlier if you want a list of fun maps you can try!. How about just level 50? It's crazy how long it takes to whittle down the boss and the only time I've done levels that high are on runway levels. Ever fought a level 100 boss (after the shield adjustment patch)? On top of that, every new boss you encounter gets more and more shield as you level up, effectively taking longer and longer to kill for the same XP. The longer it takes to get to the boss, the more XP you could have been making by resetting. The more zeds you have to kill, the longer it takes to get to the boss. The higher you go, the more zeds you have to kill. This is also why it's advised to do 10 levels and not more. 1 round gives you more than 4 rounds of constant zed killing prior to it (assuming you don't hit any scrake rounds, pound rounds, or rounds where your bonus zed is the main zed EG crawler or bloat round for FB, stalker round for commando, etc.). I already did 10 rounds on each difficulty to get some basic data to show.īut, bosses are where the real XP gains are made. ![]() And it takes far longer to grind from 1-4 or 6-9 than it does to kill the level 5 or 10 bosses. The XP you get between rounds 1-4 is going to be less than the XP you get from a boss. Those numbers are strictly boss XP kills.
